Yes. Students are placed in classes based on their age and Korean proficiency level, so children who are completely new to Korean can start from the basics and build their skills step by step.

No. The Korean School of New Jersey is an independent, nonprofit educational foundation officially registered in the State of New Jersey, with no affiliation to any religious organization or business. The school is governed democratically by its Board of Trustees.

The school was founded in January 1983 with accreditation from the State of New Jersey, opening with 216 students and 12 teachers. Over more than 40 years, we have grown into a school community of 600+ students and a faculty of over 40+ teachers.

The Korean School of New Jersey is run through the collaboration of its faculty, Board of Trustees, and Parent Association. Parents are encouraged to participate through the Parent Association and are welcome to attend our regularly held parent seminars.
